La Laiterie is situated in the grounds of Le Manoir de Tachau in the tiny hamlet of Tachau, 1km from the village of Lubersac. It is surounded by vine yards and plum orchards in rolling countryside. Duras, a charming Bastide town, is 4km away. In the town there is a supermarket, bars, restaurants, a Tabac, two boulangeries,a good butcher,an emporium selling items from fishing tackle, shoes,and outdoor clothing and a bank.

ACTIVITIES
Golf, horse riding, canoeing, boat trips, walking, cycling, bird watching,tennis at St Sernin (hard courts) 3km. Music and jazz at Monteton twenty minutes away (in the summer). Anglican church services at Monteton most Sundays.
It is a good area for Vide Greniers and Brocante fairs.
LA LAITERIE
Has a refurbished kitchen which is separate from the sitting and dinning areas.
Down stairs WC and hand wash basin. The sitting area is spacious and comfortable with freeview TV. the dinning table seats six. A high capacity pellet stove provides heating.
STAIRS TO THE MEZZANINE
The mezzanine can sleep two (single beds which can be removed) or be used as another sitting area or study.
Two double bedrooms with views over the vineyards.
The shower room has a shower, large heated towel rail. hand wash basin and WC.
The swimming pool is a good size with views of the vineyards.
